Summary

5 homes were sold in the past two weeks with another 4 under contract. There are currently 8 properties in Calavera Hills on the market. While the market is active, we are just down from peak activity from last month. However, there were a record number of homes this week that came on the market in Carlsbad, so don’t expect the market to suddenly drop off. I believe that the market will continue this trend over the next few months, and once school gets under way in the fall, we will see buyer activity drop off quite a bit.
 
From my research, it appears that interest rates are still predicted to rise over the course of the year, but at a fairly moderate rate. Those rising rates may motivate some buyers that are on the fence to buy now rather than face higher interest rates later.
